Leadership Conference-Registration-Visas
Greetings!
The main purpose of this email is to talk about registration and visa application. I would also appreciate you sharing the following information with all your women, as soon as possible.
Date of Leadership Conference: July 24-27, 2010
Place: Sheraton Waikiki, Hawaii
Theme: In Step with the Spirit
Step 1: Registration – Registration forms may be obtained through the Women's Department office or online at www.bwawd.org , click on Leadership Conference and follow the links to download a registration form.
Step 2: Print clearly when you fill out the form and make sure you include all the information requested.
Step 3: It is very important that you fill out the requested passport information especially if you need a letter of invitation to obtain a visa (Passport number and Expiration Date).
Step 4: Your passport must have at least 6 months on it before it expires in order to be able to get a visa.
Step 5: Once the form is completed please send it into the BWA Women's Department office with the $175.00 registration fee. A letter of invitation will not be sent until we receive the registration form and $175.00 registration fee. If you do not receive a visa the $175.00 will be returned, but only if you do not receive a visa.
Step 6: Remember that the registration fee is $175.00 until the March 31, 2010, and after that date it will be $200.00.
Step 7: Cancellations must be made in writing by May 1, 2010. An administration fee of $25 (USD) per person will apply to all cancellations made by this date. There will be no refunds after the cancellation deadline. The only exception is if you do not receive a visa, and in this case the entire registration money will be refunded.
Step 8: Hotel accommodation may be done online if you have a valid credit card at www.starwoodmeeting.com/book/bwa, all other hotel reservations may be done through the BWA Women's Department office. Room reservations must be made on or before April 1, 2010. It is at that time that we must tell the hotel the exact number of hotel rooms that we need or pay for any unused ones. It is very important that all our women use the conference hotels for at least the time of our conference. After our conference you can go to whatever hotel that you would like. The reason is that the cost of our meeting space is based on the number of rooms we use. The more rooms we use the more economical the meeting space will be. If you are making your own hotel reservations either on your own or through a travel agent, please note that on your registration form hotel accommodation.
People can check if they are eligible for an on-line visa at www.unitedstatesvisas.us - it has a list of eligible countries on that website, including Australia and New Zealand. Countries that are not on that list must apply formally to the US Embassy.
NOTE: Those who will need to get a visa to go to Hawaii needs to send their registration form and USD check for $175.00 to the BWA Women's Department, as soon as possible. This is very important. It is going to take a lot longer to get a visa than it has in the past due to all the new rules and security checks. In some instances we might have to not only send a letter of invitation but a letter of introduction. We would only be able to do a letter of introduction for all continental union officers, and anyone else that the CU president approves. It is going to be more difficult than ever before, but we know that through prayer and doing what is correct ahead of time the doors will open and women will be able to get visas to attend the conference. Please make this a matter of prayer.
If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with me.
